Narrowboat Survey FAQs
1. How much does a narrowboat survey cost?
Survey costs vary depending on the size of the boat and the type of survey required (Full Pre-Purchase vs. Hull Only). Please see the pricing menu.
2. How long does the survey take?
A full narrowboat survey typically takes between 3 and 4 hours on-site. I use high-speed digital datalogging equipment like the Tritex 5750 to ensure the inspection is both thorough and efficient.
3. Do I need to be there for the survey?
You are more than welcome to attend! I enjoy walking owners through my findings in person. However, if you can’t make it, I provide a comprehensive digital report with photos so you can see exactly what I saw.
4. How quickly will I get my report?
I know time is of the essence when buying a boat. I aim to get your full, documented report over to you within 7 days, usually within 48 hours of the survey completion.
